There are two types of support for those who would like to participate in the IFAC World Congress 2008. One may apply to only one of the two options. Presentation of the paper at the conference is a requisite for the financial support. The deadline for the application is now over. 1. The IFAC Foundation Young Authors Support Programme
The IFAC Foundation will provide aid to the young authors of accepted technical papers who must be citizens of a developing country (*must be one not on the list below) and less than 30 years old during the conference. Only one author per paper will be provided with the support that consists of a lump sum to help defray the cost related to the conference. A limited number of applications will be supported.
2. The Asian Student Scholarship Programme
This special fund has been created by Korean industries to support authors from developing countries of Asia (*must be one not on the list below). The financial aid will be limited to the expense of a single student registration in order to assist as many students in need as possible. Priority will be given to those students whose academic advisors plan to attend the Congress and make a full registration.
