There are two types of support for those who would like to participate in the IFAC World Congress 2008. One may apply to only one of the two options. Please proceed and submit your contributions as the aid will be granted only to those authors with submissions. The extended submission deadline is September 25, 2007.

 

1. The IFAC Foundation

 

The IFAC Foundation will provide aid to the young authors of accepted technical papers who must be citizens of a developing country (* must be one not on the list below) and less than 30 years old during the conference. Only one author per paper will be provided with the support that consists of a lump sum to help defray the cost related to the conference.

 

The application form will soon be available for download; once it is completed, please submit it to the IFAC WC ’08 Secretariat at .

 

2. The Asian Student Scholarship Fund


This special fund has been created by Korean industries to support authors from developing countries of Asia (* must be one not on the list below). The financial aid will be lmited to the expense of a single student registration in orer to assist as many students in need as possible. Priority will be given to those students whose academic advisors plan to attend the Congress and make a full registration.

* High income countries are defined as countries with a Gross National Income per capita of 10,726 USD or more. According to the World Bank the following 60 countries were categorized in 2007 as high income economies:
