Wireless Internet Information
Internet Lounge at the Congress venue: All attendees can use the computers and high-speed internet for free at Atlantic Hall, 3rd floor (near the Registration booth) during July 6 (Sun) - 11 (Fri).
- Wireless Internet at the Congress venue: All attendees can use free unlimited wireless internet (WLAN) throughout the Congress venue. The required ID and Password will be included in the registration package. This is IEEE 802.11 (or Wi-Fi).
- Wibro (a.k.a. WiMAX): This is a new communication technology. One can use the wireless internet access in Seoul, for example, in the COEX Congress venue, in your hotel room, in metro, or even in a driving car. In order to use it, one can go to the KT Wibro Rental Service at the Incheon airport (ICN). It costs around $5 a day (unlimited). Please refer to http://www.ktwibro.com/ktwibro/service/srv_rental.html. One needs to install a program for using a small USB Wibro MODEM, but it only works with Microsoft Windows XP or Vista. This is a service of the company ‘KT’, and the IFAC World Congress 2008 is not responsible for this service. (But, the Helpers at the IFAC World Congress Desk at the airport [location] may help you to find the Rental desk.)
* IFAC WC '08 has prepared an umbrella, backpack, shirt, speaker/chair & co-chair guideline, transit card, Final programs & Book of Abstracts, DVD, venue & tour maps and other useful items for your convenience.
